How Pet Memories works
- Write it down
Tell us your pet's name, pick a category and share the story in your own words. A few honest sentences are enough.
- Add photos and video
Upload up to four photos and one short clip. We shrink photos on your device so uploads are quick on any connection.
- We read every story
A person reviews each story and its media before it appears, so the wall stays kind, safe and spam-free.
- Share it with the world
Your story gets its own page you can send to family and friends, and readers can react with a heart, a laugh, a hug or a paw.

Why we built a place for pet stories
Most of what we publish on Tailwisp is practical: how to house-train a puppy, what to feed a senior cat, when a symptom needs a vet. But anyone who has shared a home with a dog or a cat knows that the practical stuff is only a small part of the story. The rest is the way a dog waits at the window, the way a cat chooses exactly one person to sit on, and the way a house goes quiet when a pet is gone.
Pet Memories is where those stories live. Some will make you laugh out loud, because pets are ridiculous. Some will be about loss, and we handle those with care: they carry a softer design, visitors can light a candle in remembrance, and the funny reactions are removed. Others are word-of-mouth tips from owners who found a great vet, a patient trainer or a trick that finally worked, which is often the most useful advice on the internet.
When you share a story you are also helping other owners. A rescue story can nudge someone toward a shelter. A survivor story can comfort a family waiting outside a clinic. A tribute can remind someone that grief for a pet is real and shared. If a story raises a health or behavior question, our dog guides and cat guides are one click away, and our US vet directory can help you find care in your state.

Pet Memories questions
How do I share my pet's story?
Open the share page, tell us your pet's name, choose a category, write your story and add photos or a short video if you like. We read every story before it appears on the wall.
Is Pet Memories free?
Yes. Reading, reacting and sharing stories is free, and you do not need an account.
Can I add photos and videos?
You can add up to four photos and one short video of up to 20 MB. Photos are resized on your device before they upload, which also removes location data stored in the photo.
Are stories reviewed before they appear?
Yes. Every story, photo and video is read by a person before it goes live, and stories that break our guidelines are not published. Review usually takes a day or two, and busy periods can take longer.
What if my story is about losing a pet?
Loss and remembrance stories are an important part of the wall. They appear with a softer design, and visitors can light a virtual candle instead of reacting with a laugh.
Can I recommend a vet, trainer or product?
Yes, in the Word of mouth category. Use names only, with no web links, phone numbers or email addresses. Stories that read like advertising are not published.
Can I remove my story later?
Yes. Contact us with the title of your story and the name you used, and we will remove it along with its photos and video.
